Elite Kitchen Makeovers launches franchise opportunity as it targets UK-wide growth

Elite Kitchen Makeovers is opening exclusive territories across the UK as it looks to grow its network and bring its alternative to traditional kitchen replacement to more homeowners.

The business specialises in transforming existing kitchens without the cost and disruption of a complete rip-out and refit. Where existing cabinets and layouts remain sound, Elite replaces elements including kitchen doors, quartz worktops, sinks, taps and handles to create a completely new look, with installations typically completed within just a few days.

The franchise model has been designed around running and growing a local business rather than physically installing kitchens.

Franchisees operate as Elite Kitchen Makeovers consultants within an exclusive territory, meeting homeowners, helping them choose doors, worktops and finishes, preparing quotations and managing each project through to completion.

Crucially, they do not need to be kitchen fitters – or even have previous experience of the kitchen industry.

Instead, Elite is particularly looking for people with backgrounds in areas such as sales, customer service, account management, project management or running their own business.

Mark Harvey, National Franchise Manager at Elite Kitchen Makeovers, said: “We’ve built the franchise model around a very simple idea: our franchisees should be able to concentrate on meeting customers, winning business and building a successful operation in their territory.

“They don’t need to know how to fit a kitchen and they don’t need to start from scratch trying to generate leads. We provide the product, systems, training, marketing and infrastructure behind them, while they build relationships with customers and develop the business locally.

“We think that makes this a particularly exciting opportunity for commercially minded people who have always wanted to run a business of their own, but want the backing and support that comes with an established model.”

£10,000 launch marketing investment

One of the key features of the Elite Kitchen Makeovers franchise is its approach to customer acquisition.

Elite manages consumer advertising centrally and generates enquiries for each franchise territory, with consultations booked directly into the franchisee’s diary.

Of the £15,000 + VAT franchise fee, £10,000 is invested in advertising within the franchisee’s own territory ahead of launch, helping to build a pipeline of potential customers while the new franchisee completes their training.

Each allocated territory is exclusive, meaning enquiries generated within that area are passed to its franchisee.

The total investment required to launch an Elite Kitchen Makeovers franchise is approximately £27,000, including £10,000 of working capital which remains in the franchisee’s own account.

Once trading, franchisees pay a management service fee of 6% of sales, rather than a fixed monthly management charge.

Four weeks of training

New franchisees undertake a four-week training programme designed to equip them with the product knowledge and commercial skills required to operate their territory.

This includes two weeks learning about the products and consultation process at the company’s factories, followed by two weeks attending real customer consultations alongside an experienced mentor.

Following a customer order, the franchisee manages the project locally while installation is undertaken by fitting teams, meaning the franchise owner can focus on sales, customer relationships and growing the business rather than carrying out installations themselves.

Elite Kitchen Makeovers is backed by extensive manufacturing and installation infrastructure, with made-to-measure kitchen doors and quartz worktops manufactured in factories in Swansea and Hull and products delivered through its own fleet.

The operation behind the business has supplied and installed products across more than 30,000 kitchen projects.

Mark added: “There is a huge market of homeowners who want to improve their kitchen but don’t necessarily want or need to replace everything.

“If the cabinets and layout are already working for them, replacing the visible elements can create a dramatic transformation while avoiding much of the expense, waste and disruption associated with starting again.

“Our ambition now is to find the right people to represent Elite Kitchen Makeovers in territories across the country and build strong, valuable local businesses.”

Elite Kitchen Makeovers is initially seeking franchise partners who are confident dealing with customers face-to-face, commercially minded and comfortable managing multiple projects.

Previous kitchen industry experience is not required.
