Richard Bent, based in the London area covering areas such as Bloomsbury, Kensington, Mayfair, Westminster and Earls Court, to name but a few is still enjoying his successful Safeclean franchise year after year since he started his franchise business in 1985. Richard comments, “I was in banking originally but decided that I wanted to be my own boss and run my own business. I wanted to work for myself and at the time, carpet cleaning seemed to be a relatively low investment opportunity and Safeclean came across as being very professional”.

 

Richard runs his business with his family and four technicians and believes the success he’s made of his business is down to the training of his staff and the loyal customer base he has built.

 

“I get immense job satisfaction from making a difference for our customers, especially being able to actually show them the before and after appearance of their furnishings, and their happy faces when they see the results, comments Richard. “ I also get a real sense of achievement when customers come back to us year after year, several of whom started using us 25 years ago and still use us today!”

 

Richard decided to go into franchising because he wanted to work for himself, but wanted the support and backing of the franchisor. “I would recommend franchising to anyone because you are working for yourself rather than for someone else, yet you still have the support/backing of head office. There is always someone on the other end of the telephone, and you can also speak to the other franchisees on the network who have been there, done that and can offer help and advice” continues Richard.

 

Concluding, Richard comments “the support from head office is excellent, and there is always advice and help readily available for asking. If asked the question, would I recommend Safeclean, I would definitely answer yes”.
