Thames Valley plays host to latest robertson technologies franchise

Flourishing computer support franchise, robertson technologies, has awarded another territory, planting a corporate flag in the fertile commercial land of the Thames Valley.

35-year-old Keith Lawson has taken on the Thames Valley East territory and becomes the fourth franchisee for robertson technologies, whose plain English approach to computer support in the SME sector is quickly winning a legion of loyal supporters.

Keith has worked in the IT industry for 15 years and following a company takeover was recently made redundant from his position as a project manager.

He says: “Working for a large corporate firm is no guarantee of long term employment. This is why I have decided to make a go of things for myself and I have never been more excited about work than I am now.”

Keith was attracted to robertson technologies by its plain English approach to computer support. He also believes the proliferation of small businesses in Thames Valley East’s numerous business and trading estates make it the perfect territory.

Keith began trading on 9th August, following his first week of training at robertson technologies’ Edinburgh head office.

He adds: “The training has been fantastic and I have access to a huge amount of support and experience to help me. It is daunting to be starting out on my own, but it is incredibly exciting and I can’t wait to start pouring my energy into the business.

“My own experience has taught me that businesses want computer support delivered in a language they understand and this is exactly what robertson technologies does.”

robertson technologies is the best supported franchise in its sector and has a number of unique facets that get franchisees quickly into their stride and build momentum in their new enterprise.

The business provides a centralised telemarketing service, setting up sales meetings for franchisees from Head Office. This adds to their own efforts and has proved very successful in generating early client wins.

robertson technologies has also introduced a guaranteed income scheme, which is unheralded in the sector and will pay franchisees up to £4,500 in their first seven months of trading.

The scheme pays out to franchisees that meet targets on the amount of marketing activity they carry out to get the business going. The scheme provides an incentive for franchisees to throw absolutely everything into customer acquisition and helps them quickly put clients on the books.

Hamish Robertson, founder of robertson technologies, comments: “Keith’s desire to work with clients and provide plain speaking computer support is exactly what we do as a business and I think he will be hugely successful in winning over the SMEs that trade in the Thames Valley East territory.”

robertson technologies now has franchises up and running in Glasgow, Fife, Shropshire and Thames Valley East, to complement its Edinburgh flagship office.
