Franchising in the North West, why buy a franchise in the North West?

North West is an ideal location for most business activity including franchising.

65% of franchise networks currently have presence in the North West contributing to a turnover of £1.3 billion. Franchisors with head offices in the North West include Blazes, Barking Mad, Cash Generator, Countrywide Grounds, Home Instead Senior Care, Inxpress, Maid2clean, Metro Rod, Oscar Pet Foods and Ableworld. Whilst an established region for franchising, room for further growth and untapped opportunities exists in the North West franchise market.

The North West boasts a population of around 6.9 million people, habiting in the counties of Cumbria, Cheshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

It has a total population greater than that of several European countries and is the largest region outside of London and the South East. The region comprises of nearly 12% of the UK's population, and incorporates the well-known cities of Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, Lancaster and Carlisle.

Costs are low and there is huge capacity for sustainable growth - it is far enough away from the South to generate growth yet close enough to represent a real location alternative.
