Snap Fitness gears up for an exciting year end

As we head into the last few months of 2023, global gym franchise Snap Fitness is looking forward to what else is in store on what has, so far, been a year filled with milestones and achievements. With a series of locations set to open their doors in the UK and Ireland, under the ownership of both new and existing franchisees, 2024 looks to be a fruitful and vigorous year.

This success is underpinned by the impressive results from this year’s report on The State of the UK Fitness Industry. Currently ranked as the sixth biggest gym operator in the UK, Snap Fitness hopes to climb two places to fourth within the next few years.

Kristen Horler, Head of Sales for Lift Brands – the parent company for Snap Fitness – is delighted to have seen their ongoing growth plan come to fruition, “Our market appeal for prospects often comes down to the opportunities in multi-unit ownership and we’ve been proud to support so many existing franchisees realise that goal. Additionally, welcoming new talent into our network is a huge part of why I do what I do at Snap Fitness. The results of the fitness industry report speak for themselves - outside of PureGym and The Gym Group we are the only other top 30 operator to have opened more than five clubs in between 1 April 2022-31 March 20231. Our results for the end of Q3 show that our member growth is up 10.3% against the industry average of 3.4%* – and the year isn’t over yet.”

By the end of 2023, three new locations will have opened their doors. Bolsover, Derbyshire – with franchisee Brinderjeet Gill at the helm - and Drogheda in Ireland – operated by multi-unit franchisee Peter Dhillon - are currently marketing services in their communities as part of their pre-launch initiatives. Snap Fitness stalwart John Prior will launch his first franchise in Addlestone, Surrey in November building on his 15 years of industry experience and 10 years employed with the brand. Partnering with his dad, Les, John brings his energy and zest for life to his very own Snap Fitness location.

“I’ve been with the brand since it first came to the UK. After working in the industry for other gym brands, I can say without hesitation that Snap Fitness is the best I’ve ever worked for. I fell in love with Snap Fitness and its approach to health and fitness from day one, and I’ve never looked back. Opening my first franchise is a culmination of all the time and energy I’ve invested in the brand. I’m so proud to be opening my Snap Fitness gym – hopefully, the first of many.”

Snap Fitness is expecting to open an additional 12 locations spanning the length and breadth of the UK & Ireland by spring 2024. “Next year will be a momentous one for Snap Fitness as we open our 100th location. We are collectively proud of this achievement and excited to see what the future holds for our company and our franchisees,” added Kristen.
