Premier Sport deliver PE & sport to 15% of the schools featured in recent Ofsted report

Ofsted recently released their latest report following the £150m-a-year fund introduced in all England’s primary schools last year to build on the 2012 Olympics legacy.

The report showed schools are making good use of the money and pupils’ PE skills were improving.

Here’s the amazing bit, Premier Sport are delivering PE & sport in a staggering 15% of the schools that Ofsted highlighted in the recent report for having good/outstanding use of the sports premium. They could’ve chosen any from 27,000!

More great news is, Premier Sport already cover a number of the recommendations Ofsted outlined in the report.

The main area of Premier Sport's unique online Schools Portal is the attainment records of each child in curricular activities. This will tell schools which children are working at what level.

Premier Sport will then work with schools and Head Teacher to analyse this data and recommend potential solutions to support individual pupils (using the Inspire Programme).

An example of this would be, if in a class of children, five are deemed ‘emergent’ after the Autumn 1 term, then Premier Sport will raise this with the school. Why? Premier Sport can then use thier suite of Inspire products to recommend PLAY Active sessions and agree the impact using an 'impact grid'. For children that are ‘exceeding’, Premier Sport will discuss specific pathways for the gifted and talented.

Another of the recommendations is to, ‘identify ‘non-participants’ in extra-curricular sport and provide additional activities to encourage their immediate and longer-term participation in sport and physical activity’. Given the varied range of Premier Sport's 'Inspire Programme' and 'Impact planners', they can offer tailored products indentified for individual children.
