Card Connection to exhibit at New Start Scotland Exhibition

Leading greeting card publisher and franchisor, Card Connection has today announced that it will exhibit at the New Start Scotland Exhibition. The show will be held on 13&14 November at the SECC, Glasgow and will play host to franchisors with fresh and proven business ideas for people considering starting their own franchised business.

Andrew Henderson, regional sales manager at Card Connection will be on-hand at the show. He said: “We currently have three territories available for sale in Scotland: Ayr/Kilmarnock, Edinburgh/Borders and Lanarkshire. Because they are all re-sale territories franchisees will earn income from day one through an established retail customer base. These opportunities represent an exciting chance to join the leading brand in the greeting card franchise sector by running your own franchised business in a successful and popular market.

“At the show, we will also be displaying a range of Card Connection’s greeting cards to give potential franchisees a real feel for the quality and extent of the products we supply to retailers,” continues Henderson. “We are very much looking forward to meeting people who are interested in running their own franchise and talking through the options with them on an informal basis.”

Franchisees supply greeting cards and accessories in retail outlets on a ‘consignment’ basis, also supplying the display equipment free on loan if appropriate, minimising the retailers’ costs and maximising their profits. This is one step beyond ‘sale or return’ as retail customers don’t have to buy the stock initially; they only pay for what they sell. Card Connection’s award winning merchandising service provided to retailers has proved popular all over the UK and Ireland, giving franchisees an advantage over competitors.

Card Connection is part of UK Greetings, which is a subsidiary of American Greetings Inc., one of the largest greeting card publishers in the world and has limited vacancies for franchisees that are keen to run an expanding business. Since the franchise network in the UK is complete, the available opportunities now consist of acquiring an already-established territory from an existing franchisee. These vary in price according to their level of development, but start at £7k + Stock + Card Connection fee with earnings potential in excess of £50k per annum.
