Cash Converters franchise Coventry celebrates 20 years

Cash Converters on Longfellow Road in Coventry is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a month long prize raffle, with the winners being announced on New Year’s Eve.

The raffle will take place throughout December, with the prizes awarded in three categories: sales, buybacks and personal finance.

Three prizes will be up for grabs in both the sales and the buybacks categories. First place will receive £100 worth of gift vouchers for use in store, second place will receive £50 worth of vouchers, and third place will receive £25 worth of vouchers.

There will also be two prizes for the personal finance category. First place will receive £50 worth of gift vouchers for use in store, and second place will receive £25 worth of vouchers.

General Manager, Mick Jones, said: “We opened back in 1992 and have had a successful twenty years in Coventry. We put our success down to our loyal customer base and I would like to invite them all down for this special prize draw.

“We have a huge variety of goods in store and offer people a way to sell their unwanted items quickly for instant cash. We also provide an extensive pawnbroking and cheque cashing service and offer the ever popular buyback scheme. This enables people access to instant cash, while still allowing them to keep ownership of their goods.

“All you have to do is pop in with your buyback items, we will give you cash for them and place them in secure storage and guarantee you the right to buy them back within 28 days. It couldn’t be simpler!”

Recent research, completed by Cash Converters, found that the majority of households in Coventry are sitting on at least £200 worth of unwanted goods. Cash Converters is urging local residents to unlock hundreds of pounds worth of cash by bringing along items such as old cameras, ipods, mobile phones and TVs.

Mick added: “With the ever changing mobile phone market, and the recent iPhone 5 release, there must be a lot of old handsets lying around that could be exchanged for a good amount of money. We encourage customers to come along to our store and find out how much their unwanted gadgets are worth.”

Unwanted household items such as DVD players, gold jewellery, games consoles, laptops, golf clubs and bikes can be turned into instant cash, perfect for the run up to Christmas. Similarly these items could make great presents for others.

The Coventry store was the third Cash Converters to open in the country, which is now one of 223 stores in the UK and 700 worldwide. It also is the oldest store in the UK to retain its original location.
