Aire Serv franchise leads the way in health and safety

Sister franchise companies Mr. Electric and Aire Serv are leading the way in health and safety after receiving an accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme which aims to improve health and safety practice among UK contractors.

Mr. Electric and Aire Serv, both based in Bromsgrove, applied for the SAFEcontractor accreditation to help promote and secure uniform standards across the business and throughout the wider service industry.

Under the SAFEcontractor system, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedure and their track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the high standard are registered on a database which is accessible to registered users via the www.safecontractor.com website.

Clive Houlston, managing director of both Mr. Electric and Aire Serv UK, said: “This accreditation not only highlights our dedication to improving health and safety for our workers but also our customers.

“Both companies take pride in customer service and we hope that being on the SAFEcontractor register will give safety aware customers the assurance that we operate to industry-leading standards.”

Mr. Electric provides electrical services to a variety of light commercial and domestic customers while Aire Serv franchise specialises in offering air conditioning, heating and refrigeration services to the commercial and domestic market.

The SAFEcontractor accreditation is expected to enhance the company’s ability to attract new contracts and its commitment to safety will be viewed positively by its insurers when the company’s liability policy is due for renewal.
