A job well done with Rainbow International franchisee in Aberdeen
Rainbow International’s branch based in Aberdeen was contacted by a local loss adjuster following a fire at a 3 storey rented property in the fashionable West End of Aberdeen.
The fire had started in the master bedroom of the property which is located on the first floor. The blaze caused extensive smoke and soot damage to the building and contents on the first and second floor of the property affecting ceilings, walls, floors, decoration and various high value content items.
The loss adjuster was under extreme pressure as the severity of the fire had made the property uninhabitable. This could have resulted in decant accommodation having to be provided for a 6 month let. The loss adjuster had been made aware by the letting agents that the properties rent was worth £3,600 per month, so the loss of property rent and the potential cost of decant accommodation was quite considerable.
Due to the urgency of the situation Rainbow ensured that they attended site the same day for a meeting with the loss adjuster, broker, letting agent and tenant.
Rainbow began their work immediately to ensure that the property was habitable in the shortest period of time possible. Their scope of work included itemising & disposing of damaged contents, removing items off-site for restoration, cleaning contents on-site, cleaning carpets & upholstery, French Polishing and furniture repair.
In just 8 working days Rainbow and the building contractor, working together, were able to complete all of the building and content repairs to the 6 affected rooms, allowing the tenant to return home by the weekend with the minimum of fuss and maximising the rental for the letting agent.
