Poppies was established in 1980 and in 1984 and became the UKs first domestic cleaning service franchise. Celebrating 40 years of success in 2020 we invite expressions of interest from new franchisees. Training and Support

All new Poppies franchisees gain access to a pre-training module which covers some of the basic knowledge and skills required to run this business so that when they start their induction training they are fully informed and prepared. They then receive a comprehensive induction training programme including “classroom training”, practical training in the company’s training franchise and a further five days training on site in their own office/territory.

Initial training covers the key operational areas of:

  • • Effective work planning

  • • Social Media
  • • Using the Poppies central IT and CRM systems

  • • Business planning and developing your franchise area

New franchisees are also paired with an existing franchisee as part of a formal ‘buddy’ programme – matches are based on backgrounds and skillsets as well as demographic similarities of territories and aspirations of franchisees. Once established an ongoing programme of training enables franchisees to continue to develop their business skills in line with the changing needs of the business.
