Transworld Business Advisors Employee is a Finalist in National Women in Franchising Awards

On Tuesday 26th March, the NatWest EWIF Awards shortlists were released. An annual event Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIF) holds, to celebrate the achievements of women in franchising.

This year, Transworld Business Advisors is proud to celebrate the success of one of our newest offices. Luna AbuRmeileh, who supports Ken Gorman and Nada Saleh’s franchise, has been shortlisted for the Woman Franchise Employee of the Year category, sponsored by What Franchise.

Luna was invited to joined Ken and Nada’s team as soon as they returned from training with Transworld in Florida’s West Palm Beach, as their Operations Manager. She first met Nada and Ken in 2016, and has worked with them ever since. Her key skill being her ability to manage people, which she does whilst simultaneously securing new business from prospective clients. Luna meticulously follows the Transworld processes in support of Ken and Nada’s franchise growth.

“Our buyers’ first port of call is Luna” explains Nada. “She plays a fundamental and sensitive role in their decision-making process, paying careful attention to their requirements. We continuously hear great feedback about her, so it is great to see her being recognised for all she does by the NatWest EWIF awards. We are so proud of her.”

“Ken and Nada have nurtured me since day one,” Luna says, “so I am deeply grateful to them for their support. Nada, in particular, as a woman in business has been my mentor. I have started off my career by following her footsteps and supervision - everything I do is a reflection of what she has been teaching me and encouraging me to do.

“I do find it disheartening so few women do not feel confident enough to operate a franchise business,” Luna continues. “Despite the challenges of business ownership, this should not deter women from joining businesses with a strong franchise model. The benefit of operating a franchise business is the fact there is a proven business model to follow. I believe more women should take the ‘leap of faith’ and gain their independence by operating their own franchise business.”

Congratulations Luna, we wish you all the best for May 1st, when the winner is announced. In our eyes – you are a winner, with years of success ahead of you.
