"What particularly impressed me was the passion and commitment demonstrated by franchisees who are not only building successful businesses but also making a genuine difference to their customers, teams and local communities. The strength of the entries made selecting the winners a real challenge, but it also highlighted just how much talent and entrepreneurial spirit exists within the UK franchise sector.

What makes these awards so special is the opportunity to recognise outstanding franchisees from businesses of all shapes and sizes, across such a diverse range of sectors.

"The results really demonstrate that success in franchising isn't defined by the size of a business or the industry it operates in, but by the passion, determination and commitment of the people behind it. This year's winners are a brilliant example of what can be achieved through hard work, ambition and a drive to succeed."

Celebrating the people behind successful franchise businesses

A defining feature of the Great British Franchisee Awards is their focus on the individual franchisee, recognising the people whose hard work, ambition and dedication help turn established franchise brands into successful local businesses.

Jane Masih of Knights, a member of the 2026 judging panel, commented:

"What stood out to me was how franchisees are taking the foundations of an established brand and making their businesses their own, bringing fresh ideas, enthusiasm and a real commitment to delivering excellence. The diversity of businesses and individual journeys was remarkable, yet each demonstrated the important role that franchisees play in driving the success of the wider franchise network."

Aaron Britton of NatWest, who also served on the judging panel, added:

"What really stood out was the incredible diversity of businesses represented, alongside the positive impact so many franchisees are making within their local communities. The achievements of this year’s winners are a fantastic reflection of the opportunities franchising offers and the determination of those who make it such a successful business model.

"We are delighted to celebrate these outstanding individuals and congratulate all of this year’s deserving winners."

A prestigious recognition of achievement

Achieving Great British Franchisee Status is an important milestone for franchise business owners, providing independent recognition of their achievements and helping to raise their profile both within their franchise network and in their local communities.

The awards also highlight the opportunities franchising provides for ambitious individuals to build successful businesses with the support of an established brand, while bringing their own skills, ideas and entrepreneurial drive to the operation.

As the Great British Franchisee Awards continue to champion excellence within the sector, the 2026 winners provide further inspiration for existing franchisees and those considering franchising as a route into business ownership.

Congratulations to all the 2026 Great British Franchisee Award winners on this outstanding achievement.
