Pitman franchisee picks up prestigious national business award

21-July-2022

Chris Wyle has received a prestigious national award recognising the ongoing success of his Pitman Training businesses. The Great British Franchisee Awards considers areas such as business experience, business growth, staff retainment, customer satisfaction, community involvement, and inspired leadership to determine worthy winners across the UK.

Pitman Training offers an extensive range of focused training programmes to help people enhance their skills and knowledge to progress their careers or find a new job. As well as owning Pitman Training Birmingham, Chris also owns Pitman Training centres in Cardiff, Nottingham, Leicester, Cambridge, Bishop’s Stortford, Sheffield, and Clapham, but intends to acquire two more.

“Being recognised for this award is a huge honour and a testament to all the hard work my team have put in over the last few years. Of course, I’m very pleased personally but more than anything I’m happy for my team who have helped so many people transform their careers and change their lives over the past nine years. Thank you very much - it means a lot to us all,” said Chris.

The judges of the Great British Franchisee Awards explained that Chris Wyle had shown great community involvement and structured his Pitman Training network for sustained growth in the future. They said that Chris had proven himself a successful business owner since taking on his first Pitman Training Centre in 2013. By growing his network of training centres to eight with a staff of 25, the judges concluded Chris was exactly what they were looking for when bestowing a Great British Franchisee award. The judges went on to say that because Chris is already a school governor and magistrate, it was clear he also cares a lot about his local community. They were also massively impressed with his work with local job centres to help people boost their career prospects and get back into work.

“Chris cares about everybody he comes into contact with. This shows in how he manages his business and interacts with others. In my opinion, it’s what makes him so successful. Of course, he makes good money with his Pitman Training franchises, and deservedly so. However, he always re-invests a large proportion of his profits back into his business to ensure he can help as many people as possible,” added Paul Lewis, Managing Director of Pitman Training.
