PRONTAPRINT DUNFERMLINE HAS A NEW OWNER

Dun_L.gif Prontaprint Dunfermline, on Dickson Street's Elgin Industrial Estate, has been given a new lease of life thanks to the appointment of new Franchisee, Andrew Whincup.

Andrew (left) celebrated his takeover of the Dunfermline centre with regional Business Development Manager Rachel Lane (centre-left), Prontaprint's national managing director Laird MacKay (centre-right) and regional Business Development Manager Mark Munday (right).

Andrew joins the company at an exciting time as Prontaprint undertakes a major brand repositioning following successful contracts with major international corporates such as British Airways, NEXT, Hush Puppies and Dixons.

With 25 years experience in the print industry as an Operations Director, Andrew brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. He is particularly practiced in the problems facing Franchises and how best to tackle them, a skill he wishes to use to his advantage in his new role.

Commenting on his appointment as Franchisee of Prontaprint Dunfermline, Andrew said: "After years of working in the print industry, I started looking for a position that would make the most of my strong background in print and management whilst allowing me to work for myself. Prontaprint offered me an ideal solution in their Franchise along with the first class support and expertise they offer throughout their nationwide network.

"I've been wanting to move to Scotland for a while and when the opportunity of owning Prontaprint Dunfermline came up we jumped at the chance. Dunfermline is a real up and coming area and continues to grow into a successful business environment.

"My first commitment is to keep improving client relationships and expand the centre’s customer base and added value services. I've already invested in new equipment and technologies and will continue to do so to keep the business at the forefront of the on demand print sector in Scotland."

"We are very pleased to welcome Andrew into the 175-strong national network of Prontaprint centres," said Laird MacKay, Prontaprint’s national managing director. "His business background means he is ideally placed to offer positive advice and support to local companies when it comes to communicating in print to customers, staff, suppliers and partner organisations."
