UK-based pie brand Pieminister continues its franchise expansion in partnership with food franchise specialists Seeds Consulting. Their latest restaurant opened recently in Bath, Westgate Street by franchisee Harry Roberts, becoming the 16th site in Pieminister’s estate. The new open is achieving great success, with the franchisee already making plans for their second site. In total, Pieminister is planning to open over 100 locations, with the next franchise location currently planned to open in Derby this summer with an experienced multi-unit franchise partner.

Pieminister Founder Jon Simon comments: “We are delighted to see the brand continuing to flourish and are excited for the future. At Pieminister we are committed to excellent service, sustainable and ethical sourcing, and of course creating our delicious range of award-winning pies. Bath Westgate Street is already off to a great start, and we look forward to spreading our love of great pies to even more cities across the UK“.

Founded in 2003, Pieminister has grown from a small pie café and festival stall to become the number 1 premium pie brand in the UK. Particular importance has always been placed on sustainability, reflected in their Pie, Planet, and People goals. These mission statements include supporting animal welfare, reducing their carbon footprint and waste, and ‘Little Acts of Pie-ness’ in donations to UK and global charities. The pie range is now also available in stores and various pubs in addition to their own sites and features many classics alongside vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Matteo Frigeri, founder of Seeds Consulting, commented on working with the brand: “Pieminister is a fantastic brand with excellent products and values that we share. They have a very good business model where pies are made centrally, ensuring consistency and eliminating the need for premises with extraction and hours of labour every day to make the food. The product is not only great as part of a quintessentially British dining experience, but also travels well and can be consumed as a takeaway, ensuring its franchise stores can benefit from multiple revenue streams. Upfront investment is moderate so even if they employ a manager, franchisees can make a very good return. We are looking forward to our continued partnership.”
