ANYTIME FITNESS UK PARTNERS WITH BETTER HEALTH CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT NATION'S HEALTH AND WELLBEING

Anytime Fitness UK has partnered with Public Health England’s high-profile Better Health campaign to help encourage more people across the UK to get active this summer.

The UK’s leading fitness franchise is providing free three-day gym passes across its clubs in England to increase the accessibility of physical activity opportunities. The passes will allow people to try its friendly and welcoming health clubs and speak to staff about their health and wellbeing goals.

A recent survey by Public Health England to mark the launch of the campaign found that over 40% of adults in England have put on weight since the first lockdown but encouragingly, 89% of those recognised the importance of introducing new healthier habits this summer.

Recognising the importance of having the support of friends and family on a health journey, Anytime Fitness clubs are also offering a significant membership discount when two or more people join together.

“As we’re starting to see light at the end of the tunnel with the pandemic, this partnership is a great opportunity for us to support the health of the nation’” said Neil Randall, Anytime Fitness UK CEO. “The research by Public Health England reflects what a challenging time it’s been for people’s health but it’s a real positive to see that people are looking to introduce new healthy habits to their lifestyle.

“We understand the first step to starting a health journey is the hardest one and we’re delighted to be able to offer free three-day passes to support the Better Health campaign. Our safe and welcoming clubs support people of all ages and abilities and our franchisees are passionate about making a difference to people’s lives in the communities that they serve. We provide a comfortable place for people to take those all-important first steps and we hope to play a part in helping them discover the huge range of physical and mental benefits of physical activity.”
