Belvoir expands Central Office team to support growing network

Belvoir has welcomed three new highly experienced members of staff, including a former franchisee, at its Central Office base in Grantham, Lincolnshire, to strengthen the support provided for the growing numbers of franchisees across the network.

“I am very pleased to confirm that we have appointed Joe Ellis as Head of Franchise Support and Rowan Williams as an additional Business Develop Mentor,” says Belvoir CEO Dorian Gonsalves.

“Joe was a former Branch Manager at Foxton’s, and has a great deal of experience and skills that will really add to the current team. Rowan was a former manager at Martin & Co, with a great deal of experience in estate agency, which will be a great asset to the growing number of Belvoir franchisees across the network who now offer residential sales as part of their customer service package."

“Last but not least, it is a pleasure to announce that former franchisee Gary Legge, who owned three Belvoir offices for several years, has now joined the Central Office audit team."

“Belvoir is currently experiencing levels of fantastic business growth, and we are very excited about the next few years. As far as business development is concerned, having the right team of people with the right skills is critical to our future success. This is a people business and we have made every effort over the years to develop staff through the ranks into senior positions and all of our current senior managers have developed their careers in exactly this way."

“However, it is also important that we bring in new skills from individuals who have previously worked in high profile agency groups, such as people like Joe and Rowan."

“I am delighted that former franchisee Gary Legge would want to join the Central Office team as a Compliance Officer. He could perhaps now be described as poacher turned gamekeeper!"

“I wish Joe, Rowan and Gary every success in their new roles and I m sure that they, along with the rest of our dedicated franchise support team, will be able to pass on their experience and skills to help Belvoir franchisees succeed with their businesses.”

Speaking of his recent appointment, Gary Legge said: "I am really pleased to be back working with Belvoir, after selling my offices and working overseas for the last year. In some ways, it feels like a natural progression, having had such a long association with the company. I first met Belvoir founder Mike Goddard in the 1990’s before the franchise group was even started. Since then I’ve been a Belvoir Grantham landlord, Belvoir Grantham tenant and a Belvoir franchisee, so working for the company now feels in some ways like a home from home."

“My role is something I’ve been interested in for some time and I am looking forward to visiting branches and meeting people. As a franchisee I believed in the strength of the Belvoir brand and am pleased to now be able to work with local office owners to help protect the brand, their business and offer any pearls of wisdom from my own experience of running three offices with 14 years in the business.”
