Vegan Junk Food Bar is an award-winning concept that’s on a mission to create a positive impact on animal, environmental and human welfare.
From the growing urge to create a place where everyone could enjoy Vegan Junk Food together, our first VJFB opened up in 2017 in the monumental westside of Amsterdam, rapidly followed up by four (and counting) additional VJFB restaurants throughout the Netherlands.
Our long-time dream turned into our #vjfbtakeover mission that went international. November 2020 we opened our first crossing border VJFB in Spain, located in beautiful Barcelona, followed by Cologne, Germany, in 2022.
In a short amount of time our innovative futuristic Junk Food got noticed, both online and offline. Only one year later VJFB became the proud winner of 2 awards at the Vegan Awards.
VJFB has one goal in mind: "We love the planet and we have a strong belief that a sustainable plant-based lifestyle is the only ethical option'. Plant-based alternatives prove to have the largest benefit for the planet and our health. And of course we know that eating junk food is one of the biggest pleasures in life."

We have proudly worked our magic over the years on vegan dishes by rethinking and reframing the narrative around them, to make them not only easily accessible but also cult like to all generations. You’ll find hardcore carnivores amongst our guests who will now happily substitute a beefburger for one of our plant-based VJFBurgers.

Ideal Partner
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, drive and passion for changing the world, with a proven track record in the restaurant industry.
- Sufficient liquid assets and capital to support the development plan whilst sustaining a strong marketing program. Preferably a strong relationship with local bank(s).
- Multi-unit restaurant / retail management experience as owner and/or operator. Ability to commit to an ambitious development schedule.
- Minimum of £2m net worth with additional minimum requirements for liquid / cash assets.
