Becoming an employee

Before you make this decision, the notion of “employment for life” is quickly becoming a thing of the past. With the economy experiencing frequent ups and downs the world has become one large market place, While your grandparents may tell you that if you stay loyal to a company and work hard, your future is secure, unfortunately this is no longer the case. Many Companies now move their factories to countries where they are offered attractive tax incentives, they get taken over by a competitor or they simply go out of business. Whatever happens, jobs are lost so so job security is no longer a certainty.

Even if you should find a job for life, is this what you really want? Wouldn't you rather take charge of your own future, be free to make your own decisions and determine how much you are going to earn? It is highly unlikely that you will have these options as an employee. What you will have is lack of job security, limited opportunities for advancement and a definite cap on earnings.
