While most relationships between franchisor and franchisee are long standing and reciprocal, it may be necessary to terminate the contract. This can result from a breach by one of the parties, the franchisee opting to sell the business, either party not wishing to renew the contract, or due to long term sickness.
Once you have signed the legal documents, if a dispute does arise and a franchisee wishes to terminate the franchise agreement it can be problematic and expensive depending upon the circumstances.
