Trevor Brocklebank named deputy chair of the bfa

The co-founder and chief executive of Home Instead Senior Care, Trevor Brocklebank, has been appointed as deputy chair of the British Franchise Association (bfa) after a unanimous vote by its board of directors.

Since launching Home Instead in 2005, Trevor has built a commanding reputation in both the franchising and care arenas. He has been on the board of directors of both the bfa and the United Kingdom Homecare Association since late 2012, highlighting the stature he enjoys in both sectors thanks to an unrelenting focus on standards, ethics and innovation.

Under his guidance, Home Instead has picked up a string of awards for its approach. In the past few months alone the business has won the Queen’s Award for Innovation, was ranked No56 on the Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For and became the first homecare provider in the country to receive four Outstanding ratings from the CQC. It has been ranked the UK’s most compliant homecare provider for four consecutive years by LaingBuisson.

A regular at the finals of the bfa HSBC Franchisor and Franchisee of the Year Awards, last month saw Home Instead add two more accolades to its collection, including a Silver award for Franchisor of the Year 2016. It was the Gold winner in 2013 and since 2009 has taken home seven accolades in the most prestigious awards programme for franchise businesses.

The bfa’s board of directors is elected by its membership and comprises 13 franchisors, three professional advisers and three franchisees plus the Association’s CEO, Pip Wilkins.
