Business Doctors prescribes first franchisee renewal

Business Doctors Franchising Ltd, the national company that provides business support for small to medium enterprises, is celebrating after announcing its first franchisee renewal.

The company, which is headquartered in St Helens, has re signed its Thames Valley franchise with Martin Vessey. The renewal will see Martin operate his southern based Business Doctors franchise for a further five years.

Since Rod Davies and Matthew Levington founded Business Doctors Franchising Ltd in 2004 it has experienced exponential growth. Its portfolio of franchisees has grown to 40 with its network of Business Doctors helping to guide and support small to medium-sized businesses across the country.

Martin Vessey set up the Thames Valley Business Doctors franchise in May 2009. In this time, he has used his vast experience working in senior roles for brands including Apple Computers and GE Access Distribution, as well as setting up and running a new business, to help businesses reach their full potential through strategic, financial, sales, marketing, HR and IT support.

Speaking on the renewal, Business Doctors founder, Rod Davies said: “We’re delighted to announce the Thames Valley Business Doctors renewal with Martin. It was very much a mutual decision and reinforces that we have a franchise model that works, with a support system in place that ensures success for everyone involved.

Thames Valley Business Doctor, Martin Vessey said: “Business Doctors has gone from strength to strength in the last five years, it’s an exciting company to be a part of. This, coupled with the upturn in the market and the breadth of tools now available through the company, made it a natural choice for me to renew my franchise.

“Business Doctors has provided me with the support network and guidance needed to maximise my global experience to help small and medium UK businesses succeed. I’m very much looking forward to the next five years!”

Martin’s time as a Business Doctors franchisee has seen him help in excess of 50 clients, from businesses with 5 to 100 employees and with turnovers averaging between £5million and £20million.

Thames Valley businesses leaders have sought Martin’s consultancy on a range of issues, from maximising revenue and entering new markets through to marketing advice, how to grow their customer base and getting the most out of their workforce.

Over the next five years, Martin will look to add further Business Doctors franchisees to help broaden expertise in the Thames Valley area.

Martin added: “It’s my objective to actively recruit at least three further Business Doctors in the region.

“In particular, I am looking for individuals who not only have a breadth of business experience spanning a number of years, but who specialise in the areas of financial analysis, HR and people management, or IT and social media.

“With these skillsets added to the portfolio we will be further empowered to drive business success in the Thames Valley region.”
Business Doctors Franchise Ltd will be exhibiting at the National Franchise Exhibition in October.
