Premier Sport & Cambridgeshire school raise funds for East Anglia's Children's Hospices

A sponsored penalty shootout organised by Premier Sport at Fordham Primary School in Cambridgeshire raised £656 for the school and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

Prior to the event, pupils had been collecting sponsors for how many goals they would score against a Premier Sport coach. The top scoring boy and girl in each class received a trophy.

Each pupil took 10 penalties against their favourite Premier Sport coach whilst the other coaches were on hand to give expert coaching tips. Fellow class mates cheered the penalty taker on.

No pupil went home empty handed with trophies being awarded to the top scoring pupils along with certificates for every pupil. Other prizes were handed out included Change4life water bottles and PE bags, footballs and lots of other goodies. The highest fund raiser in the school received a replica football shirt of their choice.

Premier Sport's local Physical Activity & Sports Co-ordinator, Gareth Simpson said, “We’ve now worked at the school for nearly 10 years delivering after school and lunch football clubs as well as their curriculum PE delivery. The pupils were great and really came together to work as a team raising so much for the schools chosen charity, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.”
