About Us
David Bigmore is the founder of David Bigmore & Co, Solicitors, based in the North West and the City of London. The firm is recognised as one of the leading legal firms in the UK specialising in Franchise Law. David was also awarded "Sole Practitioner of the Year" (in all categories of law) at the prestigious Welsh Law Awards in November 2004.
David qualified in 1972 and has been a Franchise lawyer since 1986. He founded the firm in 1992 having formerly been the Head of the Corporate and Commercial department of a medium-sized firm in the City of London.

Franchisor/Franchisee Dispute Resolution
We often act for groups of Franchisees comprising between 8 and 40 Franchisees (or in one case 250 Franchisees) on advising them on the status of their Franchise Agreements and whether they may terminate or rescind such contracts prior to the expiry date. Also when appropriate we negotiate the renewal form of Franchise Agreements. We also act for Franchisors on a daily basis in relation to difficulties within their Franchise. We have therefore long and detailed experience of guiding Franchisees and Franchisors through all of the practical and legal issues involved in these disputes.
