Former building society manager Mark Fenton is pursuing his vision of running a successful business by launching an emergency plumbing and drain repair service covering the Derby area’s 600,000 population.
Mark has launched a Drain Doctor Plumbing franchise business and aims to develop a fleet of fully equipped vans operated by qualified technicians with the objective of offering exceptional standards of customer service.
After leaving the building society, Mark was sales manager for a print industry company before launching his own firm marketing promotional gift products. “I’ve always wanted an opportunity to run my own business but there are so many challenges when you are working in isolation,” he said.
“Being a Drain Doctor Plumbing franchisee means I will be in control of my own destiny but have the support of a proven business system, a nationally-recognised brand and an experienced head office team.”
Mark, who lives near Buxton, also has experience of the building industry and was actually renovating a house when he first heard that Drain Doctor’s Derby franchise was available.
Drain Doctor Plumbing was launched in 1994 and quickly grew to become the UK’s largest emergency plumbing and drain repair business by focusing on providing exceptional standards of customer service. As a genuine 24-hour service, there are no extra charges for ‘out-of-hours’ working and no call out charges.
Customers are given a fixed price quotation before authorising work to proceed so that there are no unexpected extras and all work is guaranteed.
Drain Doctor Plumbing founder and group chairman Freddie Mitman praised Mark’s enthusiasm for his new business. “His determination to succeed will make him a valuable member of our network of 65 franchise areas, which cover 90 per cent of the UK population plus the Republic of Ireland,” said Mr Mitman.
