Lisa Tobias, Domino's Pizza
Despite still being under 30, Lisa Tobias is Domino's Pizza's most successful female UK franchisee and is testimony to the achievements that result from hard work, commitment and drive. An inspiration to team members and fellow franchisees, Lisa has gone from being a gymnast and part time worker in a Domino's store, to owning four stores in Scotland with a combined turnover of over £2.5m and employing 130 people. She is in the process of buying her fifth store.
Lisa dedicates her spare time to speaking at events and conferences to inspire young people to start their own businesses. She is in regular contact with 3,000 children across Scotland, inspiring them to consider careers in catering and ‘being their own boss'.
This commitment resulted in Lisa being nominated as regional ambassador for the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) and as a Girls! Make Your Mark ambassador for Enterprise Insight. In October 2008, she joined the Board of Directors for Young Enterprise Scotland.
Lisa says: “When I first started working at Domino's, as a pizza maker, I had no idea that my future would be in pizza. But I've not looked back. Domino's has helped me every step of the way and I'm now a successful business person in my own right – and sharing my experience with others. It really has been a dream come true.”
