BFA Membership Types

BFA membership types 

  • Full members must have successfully run a pilot scheme for one year or more and must have at least four franchisees, two of which should have been going for two years.
  • Associate members must have run a pilot operation for one year and at least one outlet must have been running for over a year.
  • Provisional members will be currently developing their franchise concept and taking accredited professional advice on its structure.

Membership of the BFA only provides a guide to the history and operation of the franchise and does not guarantee that a franchisee will be successful if he buys a particular franchise. All members have to adopt the BFA’s code of ethics.

  • BFA Affiliate members - Are professional service providers e.g. Solicitors, Accountants, Consultants etc. to the franchise industry who have been accredited by the BFA for their service and professionalism.
