Winners of the latest round of Great British Franchisee Awards announced

07-September-2023

Some of the best franchisees in the UK have been honoured in one of the industry’s most prestigious awards, the Great British Franchisee Awards.

The recipients of a coveted Great British Franchisee Award from whichfranchise.com include franchisees of a dessert shop, domestic cleaning company, theatre school, care agency, lawn care, amongst others.

“These are the only awards dedicated entirely to franchisees, and those business owners are, of course, the lifeblood of the industry,” says Johnny Sellyn, the founder of awards organiser whichfranchise.com.

“There are thousands of great franchisees in the UK, but our group of winners stand out for the passion, commitment and hard work they put into running their franchise business.”

The coveted awards, now in their third year, celebrate business success and reflect the winners’ achievements in customer satisfaction and growth, and, in many cases, how the business owners coped during the pandemic.

"The calibre of candidates this year was outstanding. It is exciting to be able to recognise and award the hard work and passion of each franchisee, who are all shining examples of franchising at its best! Each was a worthy winner of a Great British Franchisee Award." says Suzanne Melville, Head of Marketing, whichfranchise.

"Seeing the quality of the candidate’s entry and overall business ability of the franchisees that enter for the Great British Franchisee award is, as a judge, truly a really rewarding experience and one which reinforces my long-held belief of the strength and effectiveness of UK franchising. It is totally heartening to see the application and effort applied by the candidate franchisees leading to the success they have achieved.

Congratulations to this rounds’ winners and I look forward to the next group of applicants in due course,” commented Derrick Simpson.

"As in previous years, the quality of the applicants was impressive and the winners' overwhelming enthusiasm for franchising shone through!” commented Jane Masih, IBB Law LLP.

Carl Reader, D&T added, “I’ve been astounded by the great things that the candidates are doing in their franchises - but what’s more, the inspirational stories of those from all walks of life and experiences, who’ve made the leap into business ownership through franchising.
